LMDE Gebruikers: Debian Squeeze Released

What does this mean to LMDE?
Linux Mint Debian Edition is based from Debian Testing, a rolling release. Up until
today, “Squeeze” and “testing” were interchangable terms in as far as /etc/apt/sources.list
was concerned.
Now, however, Squeeze has been released. The testing repositories will soon be alive with
action, shifting from the freeze caused by the Squeeze release. This pretty much means
that update manager will be flying throug with the upgrades

Will stuff break??
As you are using LMDE, and therefore the testing base, there is the possibility of stuff
breaking, I’m not going to lie to you. Keep an eye out for xorg/libgl/mesa updates if you
are cautious about drivers + X. Avoid kernel module updates if you feel they do not suit you
as of yet. Moreoever, remember that mintUpdate has a safety level system, if you keep to
it you should be more than safe, just remember the risk exists.
